EcoBuild Follow Up.

EcoBuild didn't fail to impress yet again. This year however seemed to showcase alot of cloned ideas with many companies exhibiting methods seen so many times before! I expected more of these companies to explore new boundaries and take some risks, instead of hearing one person after another justifying the innovative nature of their business through cavity wall insulation. I strongly believe that this is one of the reasons EnviroHomes was such a popular stand, and stood out so much from their 'competition'. They aren't trying to make something out of nothing like so many others and when combined with cutting edge design, the utilisation of the most modern methods of construction and the fact that each member of their vision truly believes in what this company stands for then you have the award winning company that is EnviroHomes.
For those of you who didn't get the chance to visit the EnviroHomes stand, on display were examples of previous works including the Cockermouth Eco-School, the EnviroHomes eco friendly construction test house (Chollerford Bungalow) and one part of the whole exhibit which generated a great deal of interest- The EnviroPod™.
As EnviroHomes are the only authorised reseller of Vacupor Insulation in the UK, our stand was the only opportunity for visitors to view this ground breaking and technologically advanced form of insulation capable of driving U-Values lower than ever before.

I saw you at Ecobuild and was very impressed with the Vacuum insulation panels.
I am building an eco-home and will look at using the vacupor in the floor and possibly the roof. For the 25mm thick vacuum panel what is the U-value I can get??
George the U-value is 0.18 W/m2K, have you considered using the envirohomes offsite construction system for your ecohome?
