Retrofit for the future.

Haven't blogged for a while now so thought it was time for an update. Since EcoBuild we've had our fair share of interest from new clients, meaning lots of initial layout drawings and 3D modelling on my side personally. Looking at the bigger picture however, we continue to design and develop Haydon Bridge High School, our Carbon Negative project, of which the detailed module drawings were started last month. Once completed it will be the first carbon negative school in the North (Haydon Bridge). The school itself is to be manufactured entirely offsite using high quality modern methods of construction. - advanced insulation (Vacupor), wind turbines, air-source heat pumps and solar gain benefits. This morning, a colleague and i visited our 'test house' in North Shields, to carry out an initial site survey, for one of our retrofit for the future projects.

Given the limited number of projects within the north east, there must be opportunities for sharing knowledge in the course of the work. We have a TSB Retrofit in the east end of newcastle that is probably the closest to your one in North Shields - worth dropping in for a chat and coffee next time you are in the Toon?
Michael,
Definately need to share the knowledge, did you know that out of the 87 successful phase 2 competition winners 47 were from the South West, we need to make sure that some of the future phase 3 work comes north - will be in touch.
