Buildings

Our Concept

Our aim is to offer cost effective buildings in a volumetric format. These can significantly reduce project lead times and offer end users buildings with outstanding performance.

We can achieve this through:

  • Design
  • Manufacturing
  • Thermal Efficiencies
  • Renewable Technologies
  • Partnering

Design

We use state of the art 3D software that links directly to the manufacturing process. Our software will also optimise the building to reduce emissions, running costs and carbon foot print. We balance Thermal Efficiency with renewable technologies to reach a zero carbon building or one that simply meets building regulations.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing takes place in a new custom design and built facility. We utilise the very latest machinery and techniques. Jigs are used where every possible to ensure accurate and repeatable assembly of modules. The process is laid out using lean manufacturing techniques which reduce waste, both in time and natural resources. Our aim is to manufacture every module on right first time, on time, every time.

Renewable Technologies

We offer a full range of products which can be installed and commissioned within the factory. We can match products to your circumstances whether these are in a domestic or commercial setting.

Whether you would like to reduce your carbon foot print or make the building zero carbon, different approaches can be taken dependant on the size of the project its location etc. We can design a system that can work in all situations, and if required we can design and build the controls and monitoring for the complete building.

Thermal Efficiency

To achieve a low carbon foot print, or even a simply compliant building, thermal efficiency is key. Our innovative systems allow exceptional U-values. For example 0.104 W/m2K can be achieved with an overall wall thickness of only 305mm.

Similar technologies can be applied to both the roof and the floor. If included with windows of 1.0 W/m2K, or better, a building fabric of outstanding performance is realised.

In addition because of our manufacturing methods, air tightness levels well below 1.5m3/hr.m2 are easily achievable. For those concerned about thermal mass this can be added using leading edge components. However the quote below from a recent Concrete Centre publication is worthy of note.

Thermal mass is the ability of a material to absorb heat. A lot of heat energy is required to change the temperature of a high-density material like concrete. Thermal mass is not a substitute for insulation as it generally stores and re-radiates heat. Insulation stops heat flowing into or out of the building.
