EnviroPod™
The Eco-Friendly Way to Heat Your Home
The EnviroPod™ complements both new build Eco Homes and retrofit installations for hard to treat properties-its innovative installation in the garden frees up valuable space in the home. Using solar thermal energy during the day and air source heat pump technology at night, an efficient thermal tank array in the EnviroPod is used to store heat that can be drawn down when required.
- Replaces the dependency on fossil fuel for heating & hot water systems in non gas areas.
- 50% cheaper fuel cost than oil.
- 30% cheaper fuel cost than mains gas.
- Saves internal space previously occupied by a boiler and / or water storage cylinder
- Carbon efficient heating system.
- Makes use of thermal mass and heat store principles.
- Uses free energy via solar thermal.
- Improves the efficiency of an already efficient technology (air source heat pump)
- Reduces any potential noise nuisance
- Is configured to use off peak electricity times (alleviates day time power surge issues).
- Can include PV technology for self power or feed in to the national grid – (could take advantage of feed in tariff or renewable heat incentive if configured for large property or group schemes.)
- The EnviroPod can provide significant gains towards The Code for Sustainable Homes code level 4-6 (recycle bins – drying area – bike shed etc).
- Easy to install with very little resident disruption.
- Health and safety benefits (no working at height issues for the solar thermal installation).
- Retrofit into existing heating systems.
- Tailored to fit location and need and manufactured off site in materials to suit locality
